Wesley Donehue

Wesley Donehue is quickly becoming known as one of the top political Internet consultants in the country. Named a Rising Star by Campaigns and Elections magazine in 2010, Wesley has been working in politics consistently since the age of 15 in South Carolina where politics is considered a blood sport. He worked for Jim DeMint’s 2004 Senate campaign and then for Mike Bouchard’s 2006 US Senate campaign in Michigan. Wesley holds an impressive 25-3 record in state legislative races.

In early 2010, Wesley left his role as Vice President of First Tuesday Strategies and President of Under The Power Lines to open Donehue Direct. In just one year, Donehue Direct oversaw online strategy for Congressman Joe Wilson, the South Carolina Republican Party and Pam Bondi, Florida’s next Attorney General. Wesley’s team also helped unseat SC’s longest serving state representative when they led Tommy Pope’s campaign.

Wesley currently serves as lead political and communications strategist for the SC Senate Republican Caucus where his team will lead redistricting efforts for state senate republicans in 2011. His team also leads marketing efforts for the SC Republicans Party and campaign strategies for over 25 members of the SC general assembly.

Wesley has taken his grassroots and communications experience online and while Donehue Direct has been a full political consultancy firm, its notoriety comes from its Internet work. In 2010, Donehue Direct built websites for US Senate, Congressional and gubernatorial candidates as well as a large number of political organizations and down ballot candidates.

Recognizing a large hole in low-cost websites for down ballot candidates and thrifty philanthropic organizations, Donehue Direct launched Win With WordPress in 2010. Fundraiser7, an event ticketing application, launched in 2011.
